The latest developments in the field of truck engines take place in the Engine Test Center. The Engine Test Facilities Department is part of the new Engine Test Center and is responsible for such operations as designing entire test setups, including automation and calibration. The department uses state-of-the-art test equipment that is unique in the world. You are responsible for establishing the package of requirements and wishes relating to engine test setups in the Engine Test Laboratory. You draw up a list various possible solutions in the fields of mechanical engineering, hydraulics, electronics and pneumatics and choose from them. You design and/or calculate the selected possible solutions or you contract this out to (specialised) colleagues. You are responsible for the planning and progress monitoring of all development, buying, making and construction activities. You also supervise everyone involved in developing and constructing test setups. In addition, you are responsible for the design engineering file, the maintenance plans and CE inspections for the test setup and for instructing users and customers.
Profile
• Bachalor degree in either mechatronics, mechanical engineering or electronics • at least 3 to 5 years’ work experience. • You have affinity with measurement and control engineering and electronic equipment. For this you have knowledge and experience of hydraulics and pneumatics. You have a practical bent and a project-orientated approach to work. You can operate independently in a workshop environment. Communicating in German and English is no problem for you.
